The American Antiquarian Society (AAS) is an independent research library founded in 1812 in Worcester, Massachusetts. The library's collections document the life of America's people from the colonial era through the Civil War and Reconstruction.

The Blackstone River and Canal Heritage State Park recalls the role of canals in transporting raw materials and manufactured goods between emerging industrial centers. Walk along restored sections of the Blackstone River Canal and Towpath from the River Bend Farm Visitors Center.

The mission of Discover Central Massachusetts is to market Central Massachusetts as a competitive destination for travel and tourism; as well as conventions, meetings, and events.

Constructed in 1930 by John Woodman Higgins to house his elaborate and eclectic collection of arms and armor, The Higgins Armory Museum opened to the public in 1931 in a sleek state-of-the-art glass and steel building. Closed in December 2013. Part of the collection was integrated into the Worcester Art Museum, while the building has been repurposed.

A key element of the society's mission is to preserve artifacts and memories that depict the history of life in Worcester Township. The founding members began this effort in 1978. Each item that the society received from donors was carefully documented, including information about how it was used. Today, this documentation gives us valuable insight into life in Worcester in earlier days.

The Worcester Regional Research Bureau is a private, non-profit organization that conducts independent, non-partisan research and analysis on public policy issues affecting the greater Worcester region. By providing such policy data, the Bureau strives to promote more informed public debate and decision-making on financial, administrative, economic development, and public education issues facing Worcester's municipal government and the surrounding region.
